Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapy in Philadelphia

You deserve support from someone who truly gets you.

Your brain isn't broken—it's just different.

If you're neurodivergent (ADHD, autism, or otherwise neurodiverse), you've probably spent a lot of your life trying to fit into a world that wasn't designed for you. You might feel exhausted from masking, confused about why things that seem easy for others feel impossible for you, or frustrated with yourself for not being "normal."

Let me be clear: there's nothing wrong with you.

Let's talk about what it’s really like.

Maybe you're brilliant at some things and completely lost with others. You might hyperfocus on projects you love, but struggle to do basic tasks like laundry. Social situations might feel like you're performing in a play where everyone else got the script but you.

You've probably been told you're "too sensitive," "too intense," or "too much." You might have learned to hide parts of yourself to fit in. You might feel like you're constantly failing at being human.

You're not failing. You're just trying to thrive in a world that doesn't understand how your brain works.

Here's what I believe about neurodivergence.

Your differences aren't deficits—they're variations. Your brain processes information differently, and that comes with both challenges and incredible strengths.

You don't need to be "fixed." You need support, understanding, and strategies that actually work for how your mind operates.

I don't approach neurodivergence as a disorder to treat. I see it as a natural part of human diversity that deserves celebration and accommodation.

How we work together.

I use approaches that honor how your brain actually works, not how people think it should work.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) adapted for neurodivergent minds helps you work with your thought patterns instead of against them, and develop systems that fit your specific needs.

  • Mindfulness-based approaches help you tune into your body's signals and emotional responses without judgment. Many neurodivergent people are naturally mindful but haven't learned to use it as a tool.

  • Internal Family Systems helps you understand different parts of yourself—like the part that masks, the part that feels different, and the part that has amazing gifts. We work on self-acceptance and reducing internal conflict.

  • Psychodynamic work explores how growing up neurodivergent has shaped your relationships with yourself and others. We process any trauma from being misunderstood or pathologized.

  • Positive psychotherapy helps you identify and use your unique character strengths in ways that honor how your brain works. We focus on flourishing as your authentic neurodivergent self.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy focuses on living according to your values while accepting that your brain works differently. We find ways to honor your authentic self.

Everything gets tailored to fit you, because what works for one person might not work for another.

What happens in sessions?

We start by understanding how your brain worksyour patterns, your strengths, your challenges.

You get space to talk about what it's really like to be you. The masking, the overwhelm, the ways you've been misunderstood.

  • We work on practical strategies that fit your brain—organization systems that actually work for you, communication strategies, ways to manage sensory overwhelm or emotional intensity.

  • We explore your relationship with your neurodivergence. Many people carry shame or grief about being different, and we work through that together.

  • And we celebrate your strengths. Because neurodivergent brains often come with incredible gifts—creativity, pattern recognition, deep empathy, intense focus, and innovative thinking.

You deserve to flourish as yourself.

I've worked with neurodivergent clients who went from feeling broken to embracing their differences. People who learned to unmask safely, found careers that fit their brains, built relationships where they could be authentic.

The goal isn't to become neurotypical. It's to live fully as your neurodivergent self, with support and strategies that actually work.

Ready to start?

Finding a therapist who truly gets neurodivergence can feel overwhelming. That's why I offer a free consultation where we can talk about your specific needs and see if we're a good match.

You can ask me anything about how I work with neurodivergent clients or what therapy might look like for you.

It's a privilege to support neurodivergent people in embracing who they are. I believe your differences are gifts, and I'd be honored to help you see them that way, too.
